About Us
I work as a lecturer in the Department of Social Economics and Agribusiness at Widyagama University, Malang. I was appointed professor on December 1, 2007, and officially confirmed on May 3, 2008 (the oration script is available for download here).
My academic background lies in regional development, environmental and natural resource management, and socio-economic development. However, I’m also interested in current issues related to society, institutions, human resources, and leadership.
This blog is part of an effort to build bridges of communication—whether academic, institutional, or otherwise—with the academic community, colleagues, and the public. My experiences in life, institutional roles, career and community engagement —including my tenure as Rector of Widyagama University Malang from 2011 to 2019-have shaped my personality and character. I want to share and exchange experiences on life lessons, leadership, institutional and organisational matters, and humanity.
